【経緯】
留学＋海外大学院進学＋海外就職の体験をお話しします．これまで何度かこのブログでも書きましたが，私の勤務している大学は新設大学で，積極的に世界中に認知度を高めたいと思っています．その一環として，今回日本の主要大学にて，お話をさせて頂けることになりました． 1　私自身が米国大学院学生会というチームで海外大学院進学の情報提供のお手伝いをしてきたこともあり，自校のプログラムの紹介に限らず，できるだけ多くの方に興味を持っていただけますように，私個人の経験も含めた「留学」「海外就職」などの広いテーマでお話できればと思います．留学などに興味がある方，講演後に個人的にお話する時間も設けたいと思いますので，どうぞお気軽にお越し下さい． 2

留学体験講演会（米国・シンガポールの大学院紹介）

【講演内容】
日本で高校を卒業し渡米、米国で大学と大学院博士課程を修了後、米国、台湾、ブラジル、サウジアラビアなど様々な国で研究員として勤務し、現在はシンガポールにて大学教員として勤務している講演者が、これまでに在籍した大学と様々な国での経験を用いて、世界各国で働くということ、米国やシンガポールへの留学、大学院事情について述べます。

特に、大学院入試、プログラムの特徴、卒業後のキャリアパス、奨学金事情など留学に関する具体的事項、他の国で働くということについて、講演者がこれまでに在籍した、ハーバード大学、MIT、シンガポール工科デザイン大学（SUTD）の例をお伝えしながら、ざっくばらんにお話いたします。

１時間程度の講演・質疑応答の後、ご希望の方と直接お話する時間を儲けますので、奮ってご参加ください。

【講演者】
橋本道尚（シンガポール工科・デザイン大学 助教）

日本で高校を卒業後、オレゴン州立大学（学士）、ハーバード大学（Ph.D.）を卒業。MIT でポスドク研究員として勤務後、４カ国にて短期訪問研究員。現在はシンガポール工科デザイン大学（SUTD）にてテニュアトラック助教として勤務。専門はマイクロ流体技術を用いた医療工学で、その他に研究コスト削減、大学の国際化にも興味を持っている。

  14. Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell
    and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She put the
    shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it
    pinched her ear. She never wants to go back!
